I have finished watching all three instructional videos and practiced setting the gopher traps.
The advice provided was excellent for my suburban yard, especially tips I hadn't encountered elsewhere. The whiteboard diagrams were also very helpful for determining trap placement.
While the traps were slightly challenging at first, I was able to set several in a row once I got the hang of the process. Compared to other products I've purchased, some of which I found impossible to set, the Deluxe Gopher Trapping Kit was well worth the investment.
I caught 22 tunnel pigs with these things in the last couple weeks.
I have been using another popular gopher trap to try to deal with this menace on my property with very mixed results and I decided to look for another way. I ordered this kit and made my first “set”. After making it, I walked about 20 feet and turned around to make sure I didn’t leave anything behind and the flag was already quivering! This kit literally took out the biggest gopher I’ve ever seen in a matter of seconds and I can’t recommend it enough! As someone who has been in manufacturing all of my life, I will make a suggestion on how to improve the kit. Instead of including covers made out of corrugated cardboard, make them out of thin delrin sheet or some other inexpensive plastic composite. The cost increase should be minimal, and you will have even more happy customers now that their covers will pretty much last forever.
I bought the big pack of traps because we have gophers EVERYWHERE. The LAST thing I need is one of the horses to break a leg.

I’ve tried ALL the different types of traps. I tried cheaper ones on Amazon, total junk. I have acreage so it’s very important to keep the gopher population down, they are so destructive. Last year I trapped 200+, this year I’m over a hundred. I’ll say again, THESE ARE THE BEST TRAPS ON THE MARKET.
